Major Milestones in Growth

  • New Website

    August 2015

    IPS launches a new website to tell its story and showcase the accomplishments of its 30+ member team.

  • IPS Opens a West Coast Office

    July 2015

    To better serve our West Coast customers, we opened a second office in the heart of downtown San Diego.

    February 2015

    After winning a grant for Gait Lab Research, IPS team members work diligently on the analysis and evaluation of motion and mobility data to improve patient outcomes.

    IPS was awarded contracts to deliver software and professional services to over 20 Army Medical Centers and the 3 Defense Health Agency military treatment facilities.

    In its third move, IPS sets up shop at its current headquarters in Rochester, Michigan.

    The demands of the business spark the need for more talent. The IPS team grows to five full-time employees.

    IPS is coming into its own, and Steve decides to secure space at an office building in Southfield, Michigan.

    IPS is awarded a performance improvement and analytics contract for Navy Medicine through the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.

  • Perseverance and Resolve

    June 2005

    IPS wins a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for predicting hospital occupancy. After more than a decade, Steve’s commitment to learning about healthcare, networking with industry professionals, and building technology to improve healthcare systems is really paying off!

  • First Employee

    May 1997

    Having worked for several years as a management engineer at a major metro-Detroit hospital, Steve decides to focus exclusively on the development of his business. He becomes the first official full-time employee at IPS.

  • IPS Incorporated

    October 1992

    Steve Littig incorporates IPS in October of 1992, while he’s still in grad school at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Shortly thereafter, he receives his M.A. in Applied Statistics and his M.S. in Industrial and Operations Engineering.
